Siska and I have been close friends since we studied at senior high school. I was driving her car and we were on our way to the mall. She looked very happy after spending her holiday in Bandung. I could see it from her big smile.

“Sis, can you tell me about your holiday in Bandung?” I asked.

“Of course. There, I stayed in my aunt’s house. It’s not too big, but it has a beautiful view, because it is located near the tea gardens. So, the air was cool.” Siska started to tell her story. “There, I also accidentally met my old friend, Nina.”

“What a surprise!” I exclaimed. “So, what were you doing?”

“We were doing nothing. We met in a book fair when I was accompany my nephew to buy a biology book. When I looked around, I saw a girl who was sell the books. We were surprised when we looked at each other. She hasn’t changed. She just looked more beauty. She smiled to my and then we had a simple chat.” told Siska.

Suddenly, a car passed us carelessly. I cursed and had to stabilize my steering. Siska was upset too. I chased the car and it took more than 10 minutes for me to finally manage to force the driver to stop. Siska got out and walked quickly to the car. She knocked the door.

Siska asked the driver to get out, but he didn’t open the door. Then Siska knocked the door again. The driver still didn't open the door, he just open the window slightly. Siska looked very upset. I got out and was on my way to the car.

I could not see anyone because the window was slightly open. In the next second I heard a gunshot from the car. Siska feel down with blood on her left chest.

I ran toward Siska. The car sped away. Siska held the wound and ordered me to chase the car. I was confused. I didn’t want to leave Siska in that condition. Meanwhile I didn’t want to lose the shooter either. But my mind asked me to help Siska first.

Then I took Siska to the nearest hospital. The nurse took her to the operation’s room. Several hours later, the doctor got out from room. I asked to him to enter the room. He let me.

I was sitting next to Siska’s bed. Siska was still in critical condition. Her eyes were closed. She was in coma.

Three weeks later, Siska woke up from her long slept. She looked so pale and weak. I was crying, I was very happy to know that. But I thought, this is because my fault. The incident taught me to be careful to drive, be patient and not to act without thinking. Start the time I promised to always keep Siska, because I know that I didn’t want to lose her.
